Getting sarted with open source

The Bootcamp on " Introduction to Open Source" has been very useful for all attendees where they learned about Open-Source contribution and the basics of Git and GitHub. Our mentor discussed the significance of Open Source, the workflow of GitHub, and the opportunities in the field of Open-Source contribution.

Our mentor, Sahitya Roy, has a great understanding of Open Source and has made significant contributions to Open Source. He started an international community to help students in coding and development. It was an immense pleasure to have such a prominent speaker on the GirlScript event's platform. He discussed ideas to construct the layouts of a project to improve its usability. He discussed the steps to fork/clone the repository, create a branch to make changes, commit and push them to make a successful pull request on GitHub. He focused on various benefits of Open-Source software and contributing to the same.

The speaker successfully concluded the session with a short AMA and doubt clearance session. He was very happy with the interactive responses of attendees.
